Fresh from the soggy chaos of Alice's pool of tears, the Dodo emerges as the picture of dignified composure—dried, dressed to impress, and fully in command of the moment. Perched in his grand wooden chair on a sunlit patch of grass, he radiates that unmistakable air of self-importance: vest buttoned just so, hat tilted at the perfect angle, scarf neatly arranged, ready to declare the rules (or lack thereof) of the caucus race. His thoughtful, questioning gaze meets yours with quiet authority, as if he's about to pronounce something profoundly official... or perhaps just wondering if you've properly dried off yet. In Wonderland, even the most absurd ceremonies deserve a touch of pomp and polish.

This is a reproduction giclee print of 'The Dodo' drawing; reproduced from the Portraits of Wonderland - Original Drawings Collection by artist, Jeff Voeltner.

From Jeff:

For the Dodo, I wanted to capture him as sophisticated, serious, and maybe a wee-bit pompous. As the officiator of the caucus race, he needs to be a bit, well, official; and here he is dressed to the nines and wearing his nifty hat, ready to oversee the games!
