Jeff is a professional artist and designer whose career spans nearly 30 years in the entertainment industry, bringing stories to life through illustration, comic books, and game development.
Jeff's career began in comic books during the early days of Image Comics, as a color artist. He went on to collaborate with studios in publishing, advertising, feature film, and eventually video games. In 2003, Jeff joined an early startup to help develop the first console title in the Call of Duty franchise and other major games. Over the years, he has contributed to numerous startups and projects across mobile, casual, PC, and console platforms in various art and design roles. Today, he continues to thrive as an artist and designer on mobile games while channeling his deep love of narrative and visual storytelling into his personal fine art.
Drawing from that extensive experience—honoring the power of great stories through compelling visuals—Jeff now creates paintings and drawings that capture the magic of classic children's literature. His work celebrates timeless tales, evoking the joy, wonder, and adventure of childhood for both young hearts and those who still cherish them. Crafted on heirloom-quality materials, these pieces are designed to become cherished parts of your home, reminding families of the stories that shaped them and inviting everyone to keep that sense of wonder alive.
Jeff is currently developing his Portraits of Wonderland series, inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, bringing the whimsical personalities of these beloved characters to life in fine art.
I believe the world is in desperate need of recovering its sense of wonder and joy, finding the place we once knew as children: that deep and delightful place where our wonder, innocence, and dreams held us closer to the source of all that is good, true, and beautiful. In our increasingly distracted modern world, bombarded by disposable entertainment and endless options to disappear into our screens, I would love for others to once again experience more of the true life meant for us—to live meaningful stories instead of just watching them on a screen. We were made for so much more, and my hope is to help others reconnect with the place they once knew, reminding us all to live a fuller, more meaningful life.
I love creating work that appeals to both children and adults. Author C.S. Lewis once said that “a children’s story which is enjoyed only by children is a bad children’s story.” I have to agree and would add ART to that sentiment. Lewis helped create a bridge between children and adults in much of his literature; my aim is to do the same by creating work that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike—focusing on capturing subjects loved by both, while crafting on heirloom-quality materials that can be enjoyed on the walls of collectors for generations.
Beyond the work of C.S. Lewis and the stories he has given us, I am driven by two intertwined sources of inspiration: the great children’s literature we’ve been gifted with throughout the ages—the kind of timeless tales that capture wonder, adventure, courage, and the human heart, sticking with us for a lifetime—and a special book that reignited my own sense of those very qualities years ago. That book is The Sacred Romance, co-written by John Eldredge. In its pages, I discovered a profound vision of life as an intimate, epic story—one where our deepest longings for beauty, adventure, and connection echo an invitation to something greater. This perspective resonates deeply with the enchanting narratives of classic children’s literature, where characters embark on journeys of the heart amid magic, peril, and discovery. In essence, we’re invited not simply to a life of rigid duty, but to a vibrant, meaningful adventure filled with wounds and distractions, yes, but ultimately full of profound hope. I see the world anew through this lens and am forever grateful for its impact on my faith and creativity. My work aims to reflect these shared themes—inviting viewers of all ages to rediscover joy, story, and the beauty that calls to every heart.
